The New Jersey State Latino Peace Officers Association

Scholarships

The goal of the New Jersey State Latino Peace Officers Association is to promote equality and professionalism in law enforcement. The objectives are to create a professional association that provides its members and the community with a myriad of career and educational opportunities.  We take pride in our efforts to assist others with career advancement, promoting education, and mentoring.   Our overall goal is to foster a strong bond with members of the community and to serve as a facilitator regarding their needs.  Our association similarly provides lower income and underprivileged members of the community an opportunity to pursue a career in law enforcement.  We seek to sponsor qualified individuals to attend Alternate Route Programs in participating Police Academies
.  In doing so, the member upon successful completion of the program, will become certified and can be hired as a police officer. The New Jersey State Latino Peace Officers Association also maintains an academic scholarship program and continues to develop and operate community-based programs aimed at our youth. This program is open to ALL applicants seeking the aforementioned programs regardless of race, creed, color, religion, age or sexual orientation.
