Dear Martial Arts Enthusiasts,
We would like to personally request your assistance in running the 13th annual Mercer County National Karate Championships. The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Rider University - Alumni gymnasium in Lawrenceville, New Jersey starting at 10:00am and lasting to, on or about 4:00pm.
This Event is Sponsored by the National Latino Peace Officers Association.
For this one whole exciting day, over 400 youths and adults will be participating in this event. The tournament will feature various national & international martial arts competitors competing for numerous trophies, awards and world recognition. Over 600 spectators are expected to attend the martial arts tournament, including editors and photographers from the local media, national & international Martial Arts Magazines.
To effectively run this tournament in a professional manner and in a timely fashion, we are seeking volunteers in the following sections; Score/time Keepers(12-16), Trophy Handlers(2-4), Floaters(2), Raffle Ticket Sales (4), Door Security Personnel (3-4), Spectator's Fee collector (2-3) & Lobby monitor (2).
Doors open at 8:00 am. We would need most of the staff at the gymnasium by 9:00am.
By getting family, friends and our student's parents involved, we feel we can better serve the whole martial arts community attending this prestigious event. If you would like to volunteer and join us on this exciting day, please call us by March 17th to confirm your attendance.
If you decide to volunteer your services, please make a commitment to attend the event: we are counting on you. No spectator's fees will be charge to the tournament staff members.
This year's goal is to have the event completed before 4:00 pm, a goal that can be accomplished with team effort.
Following the tournament, there will be complimentary food for all the tournament staff in appreciation for your assistance.
