The Bergen County
Chapter co-sponsored and participated in a
conference for the development of a Community
Alliance for the prevention of gangs in
suburbia. The one day conference for community
leaders in criminal justice, social service, and
education took place in order to develop a
blueprint for an alliance to serve youths in
Bergen County. The conference held at Bergen
Community College on June 10th was
sponsored and coordinated by the Center for
Suburban Criminal Justice. A national and
international collation has been being
established, which includes several Latin
American countries, such as Puerto Rico, Panama,
and Dominican Republic. The conference was a
success!
